new toys

I am having muito fun with my new dehydrator, compliments of my pal, Lisa. Right now I have my latest version of "raw" oatmeal cookies in there, along with some pickles...you just never know. They, the cookies, are packed with soaked oats, dried raisins & apricots, unrefined coconut oil, flax seed, regular oats, black strap molasses, honey and pecans. Blended it up and plopped it on. Now the hum of the my new toy is emitting in the kitchen and the cookies will be done in only 12 hours!

Yogi tea is my new favorite edible toy. Just add boiling water and a bit of milk. I am ever sipping Tahitian Vanilla Hazelnut --it is dessert in a mug! While I sip, I sit and reflect on the lavish love of the Lord and how I don't deserve a lick of it, but am so very thankful for it. Man, when will those cookies be done?

Got some Ketchup Chips for those dehydrated pickels, eh?
You got a lot of hair up in that bun, very cute!

Okay, I want to try one. They sound healthy enough to make me want to get a dehydrator. :)

so my question is...are the cookies going to taste like pickles? Or are the pickles going to taste like cookies?
Because it seems that if they're both in there at the same time that some taste swapping would be going on?...
hmmm. ;)

Hi Jill,

I have been following the Amazon Stewarts for some time, but just learned about your blog today. I love it!

I've been praying for you guys and this visa saga. Isn't it encouraging to know that God has it all under control. . . the only downside to that is that with Him, a day is as a thousand years! =) But, soon enough, you'll be making dehydrated concoctions in the middle of the rain forest and feeding them to unsuspecting monkeys when your family refuses to eat them.

saw you like tea and thought i'd tell you about my new fave; Kombucha Tea.
Yogi Tea sells a special Green Tea form of it. Very tasty with honey mixed in. It is supposed to boost the immune system . chinese warriors have been downing the stuff for mellenia to give them strength and endurance. really!
